Nomination – February 24; Polling – March 8

According to Bernama and Malaysiakini the EC has announced that the nomination day falls on February 24 (Sunday) and polling day on March 8 (Saturday).

Its means that we will have a campaign period of 13 days (precisely, 12 days and 13 hours as campaign can legally begin only at 11 pm after the nomination completes). The whole election period, counting from parliamentary dissolution to polling day, would be 25 days.

Looking at it positively, these are the longest campaign period and election period since 1986 (inclusive).

Putting into context, a 13-days campaign period is only 61% of what BERSIH demands and less than 1/3 of what the British gave us in 1955.

Should we be happy? Is a question that whether you want to see the glass of water as half full or half empty.

One response to “Nomination – February 24; Polling – March 8

  1. “Should we be happy?
Is a question that whether you want to see the glass of water as half full or half empty.”

    2) If it is Human Rights, should we be happy with the Upper or Lower part of the Rights?
    3) If a full glass is to keep Human Survive, Half a glass could start the torture of Thirst, then Spasm or coma!
    4) If EC is not acting Fairly, even a full glass of water is polluted if not poisoned inside!
    5) Should Bersih accept this half glass of questionable water? And, to recommend Voters to accept?

This half glass of water has to considered from all sides and even inside!!
