A new initiative called Civil Society Initiative for Parliamentary Reform (CSI-Parliament) will be launched tomorrow to assert the civil society’s agenda for a more responsible and accountable parliament. Candidates are invited to sign up to their vision and mission. Come to Kuala Lumpur and Selangor Chinese Assembly Hall (1, Jalan Maharajalela, KL. Near the Maharajalela Monorail station) to witness the launch and meet some candidates who will commit themselves to the cause.
Meanwhile, Women’s Candidacy Initiative (WCI) which sponsored an independent candidate in 1999 will do it again this time around. WCI II will be launched at Pusat Janadaya (Empower), 13 Lorong 4/48E, Seksyen 4, 46050, PJ. Their call is “End Discrimination, Vote Equality”. Be there if you want to see no more sexist and exclusive remarks in the Parliament House.
