Not the canceled Freedom Walk. Just the freedom to walk.
Haris who is coming to KL this Sunday will still take “a slow leisurely stroll down Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman and take in how modernity has been blended with pre-war architecture”. Meet him at 8am to avoid the Sunday shopping crowd.
Yeah, it’s just the freedom to walk.Such freedom is actually guaranteed by the Federal Constitution. I am not joking. It’s in Article 9: “[terms and conditions apply]…. every citizen has the right to move freely throughout the Federation …”.
Yes, you know the police don’t really bother to uphold Federal Constitution (the third principle of Rukunegara). But the good news is that I haven’t heard that you need to apply a permit to walk from one place to another.
So, anyone who may just like to support Visit Malaysia Year 2007 by walking through central KL on this Sunday morning?
