The Kuala Lumpur High Court Judge Datuk Abdul Aziz Abd Rahim’s ruling that affirms the legitimacy of Datuk Seri Mohammad Nizar as the Menteri Besar of Perak is the first ray of light that spells the end of the 1BLACKMalaysia.
The political crisis however would not be over until fresh elections are called. I would continue wearing black until the Assembly is dissolved.

I am humbled by the support from my family, friends, colleagues, students and fellow Malaysians whom I may not have met. Thanks.
If 1BLACKMalaysia was a matter of opinion on the morning of May 5th, it is now a fact. By denying the citizens their right to wear black, Najib’s boys and girls have painted 1Malaysia BLACK and flushed his million-dollar PR campaign down the drains. He should get someone smarter before they cost him more.
In fact, Najib’s boys and girls may have just helped popularise the idea of civil disobedience.
While wearing blackĀ is not the first instance of civil disobedience, and even the 1BLACKMalaysia is not the first instance of political mourning in black, the idea of civil disobedience is indeed at its core.
